PAYMENT TERMS & POLICIES

By purchasing services from the firm, you agree to the following terms:

PAYMENT SERVICES

Reservation Fee and Services Fee

As a condition of the employment of Shelia A. Huggins, PLLC, you agree to pay $49 to Shelia A. Huggins PLLC. This payment is a minimum fee for the reservation of the attorney’s time (The Reservation Fee) and to insure that the attorney will not represent anyone else relative to your legal matter without your consent.

You understand and specifically agree that:

  • the minimum fee/reservation fee will be earned by Shelia A Huggins, PLLC immediately upon payment and will be deposited in the firm’s business account rather than a client trust account;

  • Shelia A Huggins, PLLC will provide legal services to Client during the phone call for the flat fee based on the number of pages of the document and for the maximum time shown when you book your appointment (The Services Fee). This fee will due immediately at the conclusion of the phone call and is shown on the booking page;

  • Any additional legal services to be provided shall be agreed to by both parties in an additional written agreement; and

  • Client will not be entitled to a refund of any portion of the minimum fee, unless it can be demonstrated that the minimum fee is clearly excessive under the circumstances.

DISCLAIMERS & ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Payment for Reservation Fee

Once you schedule your consultation, you will receive the link for payment. You will need to submit your payment information to the payment processor. The law firm does not keep any credit card or personal financial information about you.

Refunds

If you schedule a consultation and need to reschedule prior to your appointment, please email the firm using the contact page on the website or directly at sheliah@sheliahugginslaw.com. The firm does not provide refunds of reservation fees for missed appointments.

Cancellation by Attorney

In the event the firm determines that a conflict of interest exists, the firm will cancel the appointment, and any money paid will be returned to the client.

Document Review - Page Determination

The number of pages you select should reflect the total number of pages in the contract, including any attachments and exhibits.

Limitations of Consultation

Please note that Shelia A. Huggins is a North Carolina licensed attorney. Therefore, unless you are a North Carolina resident or have business or other interests in North Carolina, your consultation will consist of providing legal information about your topic of interest. Shelia A. Huggins does not attend court, provide representation, or provide information about individual state laws outside of North Carolina. Participation in a phone consultation does not mean that the firm will represent you in a future capacity. Any representation must be confirmed through a written engagement letter with the firm.
